I almost have to avoid them.

Here I am catching up on some blog-reading because it's 2 am and I can't sleep, but I don't dare pick up a book because I know I'm a goner and there's no way I'll make it back to sleep.

I also neglect to eat, pee, attend to any personal hygiene, let alone parent my children or do any household responsibilities.

But dang those books are good! I remember starting Uncle Tom's Cabin (I believe a 500+ page book) and being so enthralled that I finished the book by morning.

I also remember going nuts when my sister brought a copy of the 7th Harry Potter book to a family reunion, and I neglected my other sister that had driven 2000 miles to see us. Then, when Kristy was leaving the reunion the next day and taking the book with her, I read the 2nd half of it---you guessed it--all night long.

When I finished it and stepped out of my tent, the sun was rising. Good thing I had a great lantern and plenty of batteries that night.

And good luck on your Paleo diet!Kimboolyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02224586480718419499noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8249382164301556844.post-15482473956343454862009-06-16T19:39:50.309-07:002009-06-16T19:39:50.309-07:00Okay...so, I am almost positive that mom passed th...Okay...so, I am almost positive that mom passed that along to all of us. I am pretty sure that Marianne, Julene, David, and I all do the same thing. In fact, when I got introduced to the "Twilight" series, I told Matt to go out and buy a video game just so I wouldn't feel guilty for neglecting him. I read the entire series in one weekend.Christinahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18381519582473625985noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8249382164301556844.post-37492965384610571392009-06-13T19:38:07.397-07:002009-06-13T19:38:07.397-07:00That sounds suspiciously close to what life is lik...That sounds suspiciously close to what life is like around here. I usually have to play "catch up" in between books or I would never get anything done. But knowing I'm not the only one who dreams about the books I read makes me feel a little less like a dork. :-)Shaunahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13712400129448522777noreply@blogger.com
